Susie Cahill, a native of Melbourne, Australia, has lived her life on a quest for health and happiness. Her mission to empower others towards a dynamically healthy life was the inspiration for her creation of the non-profit organization Better World Health and The Fun Yum Friends children's entertainment brand.
Susie's active commitment to tithing spans more than two decades and she is the inspiration behind the Cahill's philanthropy and the creation of Better World Health Foundation. Her richly diverse educational and experiential background includes studying genetics and anthropology at La Trobe University in Melbourne. While working and volunteering for the Muscular Dystrophy Association she studied speech pathology. She met and married her husband, Peter Cahill, in 2004. Susie and Peter have two daughters whom they have raised with healthy habits since birth.
A believer in biodynamic agriculture, meditation, and homeopathy, Susie has centered her life on issues of health. In 2006 she walked the physically challenging and spiritually enriching Camino de Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage across Spain, and is eager to embark on the nearly 500-mile trek again. "My interest in science and organic foods sparked my passion to feed my children for a lifetime of health," she says.
Educating parents, children and others to the dangers of childhood obesity, and the lifetime of challenges and disease it causes, is Susie Cahill's mission. "Generating an ongoing conversation and action toward how we feed our children is exciting and vitally important to me," she says.
